Downtown Aftermath

[Jemima Hamilton]

Somewhere in the middle of the city, there was chaos. Despite being the middle of the night, lights and sounds were ablaze in the heart of Downtown. Sirens blared, and the red and blue police lights refracted off of everything into the dark sky. Some distance away, Jemima dropped into a dark, empty alley. Looking towards the street, the saw the faint remnants of the chaos. "This is a big city. They'll never find me..." She said, creeping to the open end of the alley, then silently sprinting in the direction opposite the police lights.

Walking out of a building, Yzzil saw cop cars racing down the street. Hmmm...wonder what that's about. She walked in that direction, hoping to figure it out. While walking, she saw a person bolt out of an ally way a good distance away, on the other side of the street. What the? She waited untill the person got within hearing rang and shouted "HEY! HEY YOU!!"

Hearing the voice, she skidded to a halt and turned quickly, looking around. "Who's there?" She called hurriedly, but when she saw the young woman, she relaxed. "Oh, I'm sorry! I thought you were somebody else!"

[Yzzil Flow]

"It's alright! Hey, is something wrong!? You ran out of that ally pretty fast.....you ok!?" Yzzil shouted across the street.

Jemima thought quickly. "Yeah...yeah. I just...thought I was being chased." She replied a bit less loudly, turning her gaze to the rooftops a moment. Though, I could have sworn there was someone up there... She thought.

[Yzzil Flow]

"Doesn't look like it though." She added, glancing back toward the ally. "Hey, do you know what the cops are heading for? Was there a robbery or somethig? Or a big accident with a muffin and a money truck? And the roads are covered in both for the taking?" She asked, getting a little excited. But who wouldn't get exited over free money and muffins?

That made Jemima blink a few times. "I'm not sure." She said slowly, "Could be a wreck, a shooting, a robbery...I think there's a museum down that way, though, y'know art thieves or something like that..."

[Yzzil Flow]

"Yah, that's probably the case.....I wonder if they got away with anything valuable." Yzzil said, staring down the street. "I still wish it was muffins....." She mumbled.

"Yeah..." Jemima trailed off, staring toward the chaos, "Don't we all?" She smiled a bit.

[Yzzil Flow]

"Yah." Yzzil said, smiling back.
